Biscuits and Gravy

Biscuits and Gravy

2 cups flour

3 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 tbs sugar

1 cup milk

1/2 cup butter, melted

Pre-heat oven to 450.

Combine all dry ingredients. Add milk, mix well. (It will be clumpy, don't worry.) Dust a cutting board with flour, roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Dust top with flour. Cut into squares.

Pour melted butter into a flat baking pan. Place biscuit squares into butter, turning to coat. Cook for 10 mins.

Gravy

1/2 pound sausage (I like the spicy Jimmy Dean)

1 tbs butter

3 tbs flour

2 cups milk

S&P

Cook sausage in deep frying pan until no longer pink, over medium heat. Stir in butter, let melt and coat sausage. Sprinkle with flour, it will look pasty. Pour in milk and season with S&P. Raise heat to med-high and bring to a boil. Simmer until thickened.
